Each Sweetbrass Whistle has a tuneable head. If you push the brass tube all the way up into the head, the whistle will play around A=444hz. With the body pulled out a bit, the whistle will play standard. Pull the body out some more and you will play around A=432hz. So, no matter what the weather or other musicians may throw at you, this whistle has you covered.   

My Sweetbrass Whistles are exactly that: Sweet & brass. The Chris Wall Sweetbrass Whistle is considered by many to be an industry leader in sweetness of tone and in octave balance, producing stable and audible low notes while also providing easy, soft and clear high notes that won't scare the neighbors. Now available in a full range of keys from High D to Low C.  

Each Sweetbrass Whistle features a carefully selected brass body that has a perfect aspect ratio for each key. Brass is known to give woodwinds some uniquely "light" and "pure" tone colors. 

When you place an order with me, you go onto the wait list for your desired key(s) of whistle. I've been sold out for almost a decade, and I work from a backorder wait list, just like the makers who I look up to most - Michael Copeland, Pat O'Riordan, and John Sindt (who all had wait lists as long or longer than mine at some point in their careers).  The wait list process is unfortunately par for the course when it comes to truly handmade artisan instruments.
