By far my most frequently asked question, and also the most difficult for me to answer. When I have many hundreds of orders on the wait list, there is simply no way that I can accurately forecast how long your wait will be to receive your order. I keep the banner at the top of each page of this site updated with what month's orders I'm currently working on, which serves to give you an idea of how long those customer's wait times were.
The wait list exists because the global demand for my work far exceeds my ability to produce. The wait list procedure worked for many years very well, but after covid and the related delays I never got the wait times back down, which is why I've decided to stop taking pre-orders indefinitely.
I intend to spend several years knocking out my wait list and then once that is done I'll come back to market with whistles that are already crafted so that there is no wait involved.
Yes, but only within the first 180 days (around 6 months) after placing the order. I process all orders through paypal, and paypal has a very strict policy that no transactions can be altered after 180 days. For taxation reasons, I cannot refund your deposit after this time period under any circumstances. All orders that stand for 180 days are final.
Absolutely. This year has been very hard for me, as I've been going through a nasty divorce and had to move my entire shop as a result, but now that I'm set up again I fully intend to keep getting out everyone's orders as quickly as possible. I've shipped around 2,000 flutes since I started doing this professionally, and I would never defraud this community that I intend to be a part of until I die. The wait list got out of hand, but I have stopped taking orders indefinitely to address that.
