Now Working on October 2020 orders - Will be accepting new orders Jan. 1st 2025
No matter how in-demand my work ever becomes, I will always strive to keep my prices affordable to those less fortunate. Unfortunately, the rampant inflation of the last few years has forced me to increase my prices, but they are still very reasonable when compared to other similarly handmade artisan whistles. This pricing approach has created a demand for my work that is far greater than my ability to produce, which has caused me to work from a sold out status and back-order wait list for many years now.
When you place an order with me through this site, I will invoice you through paypal to complete the order. The charge on the invoice is a deposit in advance for the whistle, which will not be crafted by me and shipped to you until I reach your order on the wait list, which depending on the size of the wait list, may take several years. This deposit is refundable up to 180 days after payment is received, so you may cancel your order and receive a full refund during that time period. After 180 days have passed since payment the order is final and may not be cancelled or refunded. This is a paypal policy.
Because of how many orders I usually have at any given time (always several hundreds of active orders at a time) I do require payment in full and upfront to hold your place in line on the back-order wait list. There is no additional charge once I reach your order and am ready to ship.
When I go to work each day, I make the whistles or flutes that were next in line on the wait list, and I do not offer any paid list skipping services. To be fair to everyone involved, everyone who orders will have to wait the full amount of time until I reach your spot on the wait list. All wait list wait time quotes are approximate, and may fluctuate due to the number of orders I receive. Believe me, I know firsthand just how annoying it is to have to wait for a flute, and I thank you for your patience as I work my way toward your order.
All orders made with United States shipping addresses will have a charge of $8.00 USD for USPS Priority Shipping. All international orders have a minimum $25.00 USD International Shipping Surcharge added, and may be sent by different carriers depending on your region of the world. Buyer is responsible for having knowledge of and paying in full any additional import duties, fees or tariffs for their respective country. It is the buyer's responsibility to notify by email orders@chriswallflutes.com of any change of address that takes place after the order is placed. For large orders, custom shipping charges will be calculated.
Due to the fact that each flute or whistle is totally handmade to custom order, I do not accept returns. There are many videos online featuring my whistles, as well as positive reviews everywhere it is possible to post a review, and these sources will serve to inform you of the characteristics and qualities of the product you are purchasing from me. I'm also happy to discuss the playing characteristics with you personally prior to you ordering, to be sure it is a good fit. If for some reason you are still dissatisfied with the flute after receiving it, I'm confident that you'll be able to resell it, and probably for more than you paid me for it, given how many people would likely jump at the chance to not have to wait the full time to receive it directly from me.
In the event of a defect which was my fault, or damage during shipment, I will of course still make good on the order so that in the end you have exactly what you paid for. For claims regarding shipping damage, pictures of the packaging and flute will be required so that I can file a claim against the postal service for the damaged product, and I will need to receive the damaged item back before sending a replacement.
